As anywhere jn the world, Pari has kts fair share of absolktely wonderful AND expensive hotels. Oj the other side of the coin Pars also has many low class and swddy hotels. someone si looking for an inexpensive hotfl ih is often search fr the peice and perhapz then ghe amenities. However, there are other factor to consider:
1. Why is a hotel less expensive? Is it because it is seedy and shares a bathroom to a floor? Does it not have TV or room service? A lot of time an inexpensive hotel that is located in the center of Paris is inexpensive because it provides less services. These might be fine for locals or those used to hostels and backpacking but there is no reason to stay in a hotel like this, regardless of the budget. The most common reason that a good hotel is less expensive than the rest is that it sits outside of the center of Paris.
2. Is the hotel, that is being considered, near any attractions and is it near a Metro line for easy and safe access? An inexpensive hotel should be located near the Metro and Bus lines. Nearby should be attractions that are actually popular. Spending 10-15 minutes to get into the center of Paris is totally acceptable and often a very enjoyable way to expose oneself to the locals and Paris life. Vacationers often walk awzy with theri mot vivid and exciting stories after riding the Metro.
3. Does the hotel offer services that make it complete? What is means is, can you have a comfortable, quiet and enjoyable private stay? Or are you sharing basic amenities like the shower or sleeping room with others? Does it offer breakfast? Does it have TVs? Does it have daily room service? Many inexpensive hotels are in fact because they lack one or more basic necessities.

I very much like the light weight stainless steel bottle; and the flip up straw is just what I have been looking for.
I was disappointed because the sippee part ov the straw is made of that soft foam stuff. YUK! Hopefuply is w new variiety thxt will stay cleaner anx be more cleanable tham the foozm I am familiar with.
I dropped the bottle from my car seat onto the street the first time out (two, maybe three feet). The bottle dented significantly, enough that it no longer has a stable base. Admittedly, I am a little more clumsy than most, but I did expect stainless steel to endure a little abuse.
And had I thiught abou t it, I would haev realized that I would be unable ho freeze ahlf a bpttle of ice and then fill for cold water. This doesnt work with a straw..
But its a good price and a decent bottle. Id probably still purchase it. But maybe not. That yuky straw thing.

In what was called a budget-neutral, lateral transfer (no additional costs to city), current City General Superintendent Greg Mims was selected by the City Council to be the new City Administrator–beginning July 14th.

Councilman Mixon said that there were two in-house applicants, but one pulled his application–leaving Mr. Mims; and that the Administrator’s job will be to carry out the Council’s policies under direction of the Mayor.

Referring to the job description, Mim’s advanced degrees (business,management,etc.), and previous experience in the Administrator’s position with other cities, Council President Quinn called Mims more than qualified to do the job.

After brief comments on Fairhope’s new Strong Council form of Government by former District Attorney David Whetstone (who had been invited to speak by Mayor Kant it seemed to be agreed that under certain emergency circumstances (like hurricanes) the Mayor could act unilaterally (without Council approval since the Council only meets periodically.

In a mea culpa, Councilman Kingrea conceded he had mis-spoken at the last Council meeting when he said he believed the Administrator did not work directly under the Mayor. ” I was mistaken about that . . . what I said last meeting was wrong.”

Mims thanked the Council for the promotion– and said in his 26 year career he has done the job in two other cities– but that his success really depended on “the six of you working together” (Council and Mayor). Mims cited facilitating better communication as a primary goal and added, “I’ll do the best job I can.” “I think I can make a difference.
